I'm a little slow in posting, but we got a new digital camera for Christmas (our other one died just a few days before - what timing!) and it has taken me a bit to figure it all out. So here we are - Christmas at the Herr house!
Rachel & Caleb were pleased with their piles of presents...

Rachel was begging for pierced ears, but I'm just not ready for that maintenance yet. So she got clip-on ones for Christmas. She was pretty excited and liked the pink ones best (of course).

Caleb wasted no time digging into his gifts. Just about every toy he got required batteries, though. Next year I think Santa just needs to leave a stocking full of Energizer.

No, Noah did not get a remote control for Christmas. But we could just as well have wrapped it up and gave it to him. He wasn't interested in his presents...he has an obsession with remotes, phones, anything with buttons.

Rachel is all smiles as she goes to the garage to find her most coveted gift this Christmas...a doll set (stroller, crib, etc.). She didn't see any big box under the tree, so was SURE she wasn't getting it. But there was a small box with a note in it telling her to check the back of the van. Her jaw dropped and she was frozen in place when she saw the surprise waiting for her.

Time to play with our new stuff!

What's the deal with toy packaging? This remote control car was nearly impossible to retrieve from the box! I fought with it for quite awhile, then Paul tried and was ready to send it back to the store until he finally got it loose with a screwdriver.

Caleb's little toy cars.

The BEST part of the day...MEALTIME! Mmmm..ham.

I know that the plastic clips, ties, and super strong plastic wrappings are almost as much of a nightmare as putting together the "toys"!!
