Smokin' Weed

So what does the Herr family do for excitement? Light stuff on fire, apparently! All of Paul's hard work over the summer went up in flames this morning. He's spent countless hours pulling weeds on our 2 acres, and this week our neighbor got them all in a big pile for us and this morning it was time to torch the mountain of weeds! The burnfest was delayed a bit because the water hose was froze, but once Paul got the ice chunk loose, he was able to water around the heap of weeds and FINALLY light that match! (Caleb then took a bite out of the ice chunk, thinking it was snow. He's such a boy.)

It started on a sunny & calm Arizona morning...













The pile of weeds stood tall.











The hose was de-iced...










And the weeds were lit!











And soon those weeds were up in smoke!
